How we collect text messaging consent

Last updated 15 October 2026 · Force Function LLC

Force Function LLC does not collect text messaging consent from customers through a web form. We collect it in person, by phone, and when someone contacts us first. People who use our Command Center software can also turn on alert texts for themselves, inside the app, as described in Alerts for people who use the Command Center. This page publishes every one of those paths, including the exact words we say and show, so that our practice can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase. Anyone can decline text messages and still book with us, buy from us, and reach us by phone or email. We do not buy, rent, or import phone number lists, and we never share consent with third parties for marketing.

Path 1. You contact us first

When someone calls or texts our business number, we may reply by text to continue that same conversation. The reply is part of the conversation the person started.

If someone's call to us ends before we could help, we may send one text to the number that called, with opt-out instructions, and nothing more unless they reply.

Path 2. You book with us

When someone books a consultation or session with us by phone (with our staff or our automated phone assistant) or in person, we say this, in these words, before any mobile number is recorded:

"Can we text you about this booking? We will text a confirmation, a reminder before it, and, if the time ever has to change, a text to agree a new one, a text when we are on the way or running late, and, once the work is done, one text with a link to leave us a review. Nothing else. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to stop at any time. Our terms and privacy policy are at forcefunction.ai. Is that OK?"

To a customer who speaks Spanish, we ask the same question in Spanish, in these words:

Some bookings are still asked an earlier version of the question, which does not name on-the-way or running-late texts. It is, in these words:

"Can we text you about this booking? We will text a confirmation, a reminder before it, and, if the time ever has to change, a text to agree a new one, and, once the work is done, one text with a link to leave us a review. Nothing else. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to stop at any time. Our terms and privacy policy are at forcefunction.ai. Is that OK?"

Someone who said yes to an earlier question gets only the texts it named, never an on-the-way or running-late text.

We text only after a clear yes, and the first text confirms the booking. When someone books with us by text, we ask the same question by text before we confirm, and send reminders only after a clear yes. If the person declines, the booking proceeds normally and no text is ever sent to that number.

Path 3. An existing client asks for updates by text

When someone already working with us asks to receive service updates by text, we say this before recording the number:

"I can send those to you by text if that is easier. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to stop at any time. Our terms and privacy policy are at forcefunction.ai. Would you like me to?"

We text only after a clear yes.

What we record

For every consent we record the number, the date and time, who asked, the version of the words used, the person's answer, and the call recording or transcript.

What we send, and what we never send

We send replies to questions people text us; one text to continue a phone call to our number that ended before we could help; booking a consultation or session by text when the person asks for one; updates on work in progress, for existing clients who ask for them; confirmations and reminders for appointments people booked with us; on the day of a booked visit, a text when we are on the way or running late; when a booked appointment has to change, a text proposing a new time that the person confirms, or answers with a time that suits them; and, once the work is done, one text asking for a review, with a link to leave it. The review text is one follow-up on the work just finished and goes only to people who agreed to it when booking; we ask every one of them the same way, never only the happy ones, and we never offer anything in return for it. Nothing is booked or moved until the person agrees by reply.

Messages are in English or Spanish, as the customer prefers. Messages are written and sent by Force Function's automated assistant, and every message is signed "- Aurelius, Force Function's (S)Intelligence", so every message names Force Function. We do not send promotional or marketing content or phone numbers. The only link we send to customers is the review link, on our own forcefunction.ai address, never a shortened link. We do not send messages on behalf of any other business. Alerts to people who use the Command Center are a separate program, on a separate number, described below.

Sample messages

Alerts for people who use the Command Center

Service businesses of any trade that work with us use our software, the Command Center, to run their operations. The people who use it for a business, its owners, office staff, technicians and field crews, and Force Function's own operators who support that business, can choose to get short alert texts from Force Function when something about that business's own work needs them: for example an emergency job came in, a booking was made, moved or cancelled, a job was assigned to them, a call-back is due, an approval is waiting, a payment arrived or is overdue, a message is waiting for them in the Command Center, a customer complaint, or the day's schedule. Alert texts come from their own number, +1 (213) 636-8187.

How a person turns alert texts on

Each person turns alert texts on for themselves, inside the Command Center, after signing in to their own account. In their own settings, under "When Aurelius interrupts you", they enter their own mobile number and tick a box that starts unticked, beside these words:

"Text me Force Function alerts about [the business's name]'s work that needs me, such as emergency jobs, bookings and schedule changes, jobs assigned to me, call-backs due, approvals waiting, payments, messages and complaints. Alerts come from +1 (213) 636-8187. Optional: you get the same alerts in the app either way. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to stop. Terms and Privacy Policy"

Alert texts are optional and never a condition of using the Command Center. A person who leaves the box unticked gets the same alerts in the app. A business owner cannot turn alert texts on for anyone else: each box is ticked only by the person whose number it is.

After the box is ticked we send one confirmation text:

"Force Function: alert texts about Summit Ridge Roofing are on for this number. We text when something needs you and the app may not reach you. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to stop alerts. - Aurelius, Force Function's (S)Intelligence"

What alert texts say, and when they come

The alert shows in the app first. A text goes only when the app did not reach the person, or when they chose texts. Overnight texts go only for emergencies, and only to a person who turned that on. Each alert names Force Function and the business it is about, carries one link to the item on our own address, app.forcefunction.ai (never a shortened link), and carries no phone numbers. Alerts come from their own number, never from the number our customers text, and they never contain marketing.

Sample alerts

Stopping and help, for alerts

Reply STOP to an alert text and alert texts stop. You will receive one final message confirming it: "Force Function: you will get no more alert texts from this number. You still get alerts in the Command Center app. Reply START to turn alert texts back on." Alerts in the app are not affected. You can also turn alert texts off at any time in your Command Center settings.

Reply HELP to an alert text for help. You will receive: "Force Function alerts: Aurelius here, Force Function's (S)Intelligence. Manage your alerts in the Command Center settings, or email aurelius@forcefunction.ai. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop alerts."

For every person who turns alert texts on we record who they are, their number, the date and time, how they turned it on (inside the Command Center), the program (Force Function alerts), the exact words shown beside the box, and the session they did it from.

Stopping and getting help

Reply STOP to any message at any time and we stop. You will receive one final message confirming it, and no more texts from that number. Reply START to resubscribe.

Reply HELP for help. You will receive: "Force Function: Aurelius here, Force Function's (S)Intelligence. Just reply with what you need and I'll help, or email aurelius@forcefunction.ai. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out." For anything about your data, email privacy@forcefunction.ai.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Our commitment on your number

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text messaging consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. This is stated in full in our Privacy Policy, alongside our Terms of Service.
